Applicants who:
- who hold a recognised, registerable Australian entry-level qualification in physiotherapy, and/or
- who hold a current certificate of full registration (practising certificate) with any State/Territory Physiotherapists' Registration Board in Australia or the New Zealand Physiotherapists' Board
are exempt from the Australian Physiotherapy Council Examinations and can apply for assessment for migration purposes.
Only applicants who satisfy the above conditions are exempt from the Australian Physiotherapy Council Examinations.
Applicants who satisfy the above conditions must submit ONLY ONE COPY of form 1249a accompanied by one certified copy of each of the documents specified below:
Documents for non-citizens who are overseas qualified physiotherapists with current registration to practise in Australia and/or New Zealand:
- copy of degree certificate and course transcript
- copy of initial registration from country of entry-level training
- copy of current practising certificate from any State/Territory of Australia or New Zealand
- copy of passport details
- two (2) professional references from current and most recent supervisors
- application fee ($220 AUD), personal cheques not accepted
- copy of completed Skills Assessment form (Form 1249a)
Documents required for non-citizens with a registrable Australian qualification in physiotherapy:
- copy of degree certificate and course transcript
- copy of passport details
- two (2) professional references from current and most recent supervisors (clinical tutors acceptable)
- application fee ($220 AUD)
- copy of completed Skills Assessment form (Form 1249a)
