Limited Registration in the Public Interest
VERY IMPORTANT IMFORMATION
The Australian Physiotherapy Council has been advised that a decision has been made at the recent meeting of the Ministerial Council to alter the conditions for Limited Registration in the Public Interest. The Australian Physiotherapy Council expects to receive formal advice by the end of May 2012 for the changes to be implemented immediately. In anticipation of the new conditions, the APC will not be accepting any new applications or reviews for Limited Registration in the Public Interest as of Friday 4 May 2012.
We are making you aware of this because it may be that Limited Registration in the Public Interest will be limited to situations such as natural disasters and be limited to registration periods of 1 month only. The Physiotherapy Board of Australia has finalised its review and the Ministerial Council is likely to publish its decision by the end of May 2012. [updated 04.05.12]
Please direct any questions you may have to the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
The Physiotherapy Board Australia has advised that the alternative form of registration will be Registration under supervised practice.

Prospective applicants need to be mindful of the following application deadline:
