Limited Registration in the Public Interest

Renewal of Limited Registration in the Public Interest/supervised practise

The Physiotherapy Board of Australia expects an individual to progress to general registration after a period of limited registration.

An individual who is seeking to renew Limited Registration in the Public Interest would be expected to be undertaking the APC assessment process. For information regarding the APC Assessment process please refer to the APC Website \Assessment \Initial assessment.

Undertaking the APC process means:

  1. Completed the Initial Assessment and
    1. Applying to sit for the Written Examination or
    2. Passed the Written Examination and undertaking the clinical part of the assessment process.

As part of your registration renewal you will need to request a report from the APC on the Progress and Status of your assessment.

Please refer to the Physiotherapy Board Limited Registration Guidelines,http://www.physiotherapyboard.gov.au/Codes-Guidelines.aspx Section 2.3 Renewal - subsection 2.16.

There is a cost of $125.00 to produce and send this report to you.

Once the APC has receipted your payment and confirmation of current address, you will be sent a Progress and Status Report. This can be submitted to the Physiotherapy Board along with any other requirements for renewal.

At any stage that an individual completes the APC assessment process with an unsuitable outcome the APC will notify the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
