NZ Registered Physiotherapists

Physiotherapists who hold full registration and a current annual practising certificate issued by the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand can apply for General Registration directly to the Physiotherapy Board of Australia under the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement (TTMRA). The Physiotherapy Board of Australia is a separate organisation to the Australian Physiotherapy Council. The Physiotherapy Board of Australia website is www.physiotherapyboard.gov.au

Physiotherapists who hold full registration and a current annual practising certificate issued by the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand can apply to the Australian Physiotherapy Council for an assessment for Migration Purposes. This assessment is NOT an assessment for registration and is only required if the Department of Immigration and Citizenship requires a person to have a skills assessment. This assessment will not require a physiotherapist who holds full registration and a current annual practising certificate issued by the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand to undergo any examinations.
